Charging me for something I know nothing about

I was looking at my credit card statement and seen that there was a charge for $ 16.99 for TLG*GREATFN, never heard of this company nor did I sign up for anything, or even shop from ant type of on-line store with this name, going back to last months credit card statement also showed the same charge, now I'm pissed off because you can't seem to get thru to anyone on the phone numbers on my statement. I've been on hold now for over an hour, but I'm not giving up, I will talk to someone, hopefully they will be speak ENGLISH.

TLG GREATFUN AND SHOPPERS ADVANTAGE BILLED ME FROM TICKETMASTER

I bought tickets from ticketmaster in October and signed up for the 20 dollar rebate on the tickets trru trilegiant company with greatfun. Cancelled *Tlg greatfun from my account within the 30-days but found out that they had ALSO signed me up for shoppers advantage!!! So now theyve taken 16.99 from my account. I knew about greatfun but not this. THe lady never even mentioned it on the phone, never had any info sent to me about it, so it must have been apart of signing up for greatfun is that they automatically sign you up for shoppers adv. too 3 weeks before they took the 16.99, I cancelled my debit card. So the company has my bank account number which I will also have to cancel now too, since cancelling my debit card didn't work. Never click on any offers from ticketmaster for any type of rebate!!! All phony! Greatfun/shoppers advantage will just rip you off and take your money without you even knowing you signed up for *other* memberships. They will NOT send you any checks in the mail for the rebate anyways (or at least I nver recieved it) and if you happend to cash the check they will take 129.99 out of your account anyway for not reading the fine print that puts you into ANOTHER membership as soon as you cash it. (happened to my friend) Frustratingggggggggggggg!

Same situation as you ladies. Called in and gave them my name, number, address.

But I refused to give them my card info and hung up.

Did either of you get charged by Great Fun just for clicking on the link at the bottom of ticketmaster? Really hoping TicketMaster wouldn't just give them my bank info...

Well I fell victim to calling about the $15 rebate after a ticketmaster purchase. I adamantly did NOT agree to the offer they gave me for the additional $20 rebate if signed up.

After doing my research AFTER the call, *** me, I called back to confirm I had not been signed up. The person told me if I did not give them my credit card info or agree to service then they cannot charge me - now after my research I am scared.

I suppose next week I will call again to check my status and you better believe I will dispute the charge if it shows up on my account. DOH, I hope I am not going to start getting charged.

I also ordered tickets from ticketmaster and called for a $15 rebate from Great Fun. As soon as I hung up I googled the company and found all of these complaints.

I'm scared silly. First, they told me that it would take up to 5 business days to receive my email confirmation for the rebate (WHAT EMAIL CONFIRMATION TAKES 5 DAYS??) and then when I gave them my information they never read back my address to make sure it was correct. They were also going to use an incorrect email address without double-checking until I made them read it to me and corrected them. When I called back asking for more information and if my request for the $15 rebate signed me up for anything unknowingly they didn't tell me anything more than a phone number to check my "application status".

Well, that office is closed at the moment, but first thing in the morning I'm going to give them a little phone call. Do you know anything about this? Is it only when you cash the rebate that it signs you up? Or do they take your account number as soon as you call?

I don't understand!

How would they get my information in the first place?? And what do I need to do??

Charged my card 19.99

after i bought a airline ticket tlg had charged my card, and i was unaware of the charge so i would love to have my money back please. i am very upset because i need that money for my bills and tlg had charged my card so i really need all of that moey back as soon as posible. i just cant belive that they charged my card without any warning i am very upset. now i am scraed to by anything online ever agian because i do not ever want this to happen ever again. so please give me my money back.

This is outrageous!

I recently received a letter stating that they needed information to process my payment. It turns out they have been charging me for 4 months and I could only cancel and receive my money back if I write a letter. However, the address you write to is not the same as on their letter. I suspect that this will not be the last time I have to contact them and they had no idea how I had been signed up, but they claimed that I did sign up for their services. As I do not travel and we have no amusement parks in our area, I would have never even considered this. There must be a way to stop this!

I signed up for a special package through Thrifty's Rental Car. This TLG*SHOPPERS payment came up on my credit card at the same time.

I canceled the Thrifty's package but the SHOPPERS 1-800 number would not connect. I finally talked to someone at the credit card company and they suggested the internet.... where I have found hundreds of complaints against this group!

After 5 months of $16.99 payments, they seem to have stopped. The credit card customer service suggests NOT CONTACTING them because that might be MORE trouble!

TGL Shoppers Advantage

TGL Shoppers Advantage should be jailed for Fraud, they charge your card without permission to the tune of $16.99 a month! I am in the process of seeing just how much they have hit me for. The Feds need to get involved with this scam and close them down and put them in JAIL, where they belong!! We as consumers who have been ripped off should notify our Representative's and flood them with complaints, who I am I kidding they can't even police themselves. Or maybe we could get a class action lawsuit on these thieves, there has to be away to put them out of business. Any ideas?

I had cancelled this program within the alotted time given and still found they charged me the $16.99 dollars. I feel fortunate though that I keep close track of all my accounts online, and this was there first attempt of stealing money from me. I put a stop on that and any future dealings they might attempt.

TLG is charging me. . .for what???

In the last three days, my account has been diminished by a $16.99 charge. . . .TWICE!! How did I get this company on my back and how can I get my money back? I have not made any recent purchases lately, except I tried to order a phone online through Sprint. I never got the phone, another complaint, but since that day I have been getting charged by this company, TLG Great Fun. It is great fun all right, for the company. Not for me!! I am not sure if this site can help me but. . . .someone. . . . PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!

you obviously signed up for something and gave them your account number. that was a mistake.

contact them and they can tell you what they are billing you for and then cancel it.

next time, don't give out personal/financial info to anyone. live and learn

TLG??? I have just been charged 3 times this month for something I did not approve or want.

I just found that I have three charges on my bank statement from a company called TLG Shoopers???? Can anyone else tell me how this could have happened without my permission or how the heck they got my banking information since I do not use this account for any on-line transactions???? I called the number supplied on my statement and I can not get a live person. Any help from other victums, please respond with any solutions or how I can get re-embursement!!!!! I am so upset since money is so scars now and I have been unemployeed for the last past nine months. It has put my account in a negative balance and has caused me over 70.00 in NSF Fee's.

Buyers advantage

I don't even know what this is, but they took $139.00 out of my account last week! The worst part is, I only had $150.00 in there, and went grocery shopping and was declined!

I have children! I cried all the way home and don't know wht to do now!

I have done some research on the internet and it looks like they have done this to others, which makes me feel a little hope, however, that doesn't feed my kids! Someone, please let me know what to do or where to start to get my money back...

Same $16.99 charge is showing up on my bank statement. The only company I can even think that I somehow signed up for this *** with is GreatFunSite.com.

I'm not having great fun, that's for sure. I emailed them and asked them to rectify this immediately because I cancelled my membership as soon as I started it.

Should I tell my bank to stop accepting the charges? This is ridiculous.

Beware of these thugs because same thing happen to me and I got charge 16.99 TLG Buyers Advantage and they have sister company call TLG*EVRYDAY and they also keep on charging also 16.99.

After filing claim with them they decline after one month that they have my birthday and cannot give my money back. Now I am talking to my bank and they have to fight for me.

Why we have to get punish the crime we did not committed. we have to fight for our own money?

Government have to take these kind of thief away to protect their citizen from these kind of terrorist.

TLG Buyers Advantage should be call disadvantage. Don't know how they started charging me $16.99 a month but they did for a couple months when I recently cancelled it.

So decided I might as well submit a claim for a lawnmower repair since it happened during the time I had converage. I called on how to file a claim and was told they would send a claim in 7-10 days and to allow 4-6 weeks for money to arrive.

Although they said I may or may not be eligible for a refund since I recently cancelled. Told the lady that it didn't take 406 weeks to take the money though and it better be eligible since the membership was active during the repair time.

Great Fun charged my bank account after cancellation

I called to cancel my trail subscription with Great Fun and they still charged me the $16.99 monthly fee after I called to cancel; the representative even said that my bank account information would be removed - clearly she lied!! I had to call and basically cancel again; I got another cancellation number, so let's hope this one will work. Do not EVER deal with this company, stay far, far away, you will be scammed! I just did the trial version so that I could get a rebate on a concert ticket; shouldn't have done it. Great Fun - just totally avoid this fraudulent, lying company.

Refused cancellation for two months charging checking account still

Tried a 30 free Sept 30 period,then cancelled in Nov and Dec, kept charging checking account anyway, refused to connect a supervisor when I called. will hav to change checking account and debit card while bank reverses one overcharge of $30 and reverses TLG $20 Lawyer advised Better Busn Bureau call and bank taking fraud dispute. I was told during a third phone call my service had been cancelled as of 12/13/2011. I still could not talk with a supervisor only "Raol". It will take time and work for my bank and I to work this out and I am afraid to keep the same checking account.

I have tried (REPEATEDLY) to STOP u from withdrawing MY $$$ (what $$$ I have) from my account by canceling this TLG*GREATFN & u either put me on hold for-ever or u want to argue with me about how I ordered UR services (which I most certainly DID NOT)& I have NEVER... Deear TLG Employee -- Get a clue and resign. I called your company after being charged an unauthorized charge, was VERY NICE, explaining it had to be a mistake as the travel advantage was rediculous in my case, as I am dying of cancer, and certainly can't travel.

The "TLG Employee" is an *** hole without a clue! The Executive Assistant to the President of the company is Meagan Baron.

Her direct line is 1-80*-***-****. Call her and explain that you did not authorize this company to take money from your account and that they have stolen from you. Find out how they got your information and who authorized the transaction with your credit card/bank card. Tell her whom you have spoken to in the past with that company in attempt to rectify the unauthorized charges.

Explain to her that you are getting ready to go file Theft Charges on her specifically using her name and status with the company if she doesn't refund your money in full. She has the authority to refund the full of amount that they stole from you. I did this and got my refund of almost $600.00.

They will return your money if you do it the right way! Good Luck!

I also was debited $19.99 from TLG Shopper with no knowledge. Thank you for providing a phone number to call to get a cancelation number. I doubt I will ever get my money back, but it is better than being charged $98.00 a month. I am not even sure how I get into this. It seems everyones complaints are from Sept. 2011. Interesting. I have no details about the company, it's products, but am trying to hit thee 100 word minimum required to get this posted. Talk about feeling held prisoner! What a scam this is. I Was contacted about a i offer for one dollar for 30 day trial After 30 days and I still have not received any information I called and canceled. Two months later date debited my account .rI called and canceled again i have my cancellation number and they itell me yes I had . Now I will stop them from debiting my account again by changing my debit number

These guys said they would charge me $1 for these gas coupons but when I got them in the mail, they were only good between June and August! Well, it was August 31st and they expired before the next June would come around! Do NOT ever give them your information!

TLG Great Fun

This company charged my account 20.00 and I have never heard of this company. They kept giving me a member number after I told them I do not know this number and I have no idea what this company is. They canceled my member number and told me I would have my money back in 2 to 3 days, they still put the charge through and have not refunded my money. This company is stealing money from people for supposed rebates. They told me I signed up to receive gas rebates, I don't drive and have received nothing from them anyhow. This is a fraud and I recommend people watch out for them.

Why? Why? Why? Why is it *** scammers alway take money from people who dont have money???? I have a disabled 4 year old daughter and a 2 year old son. I am going to school and really do not have a nice income coming in. I dont have money to just give it away....$19.99 was takin out of my account twice within two weeks. NOT COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have not received anything then when i called to unsubscribe (even tho i have no clue who they are) they asked if i wanted to stay a member with them. REALLY??? I am calling to complain because you screwed me over why would i stay?

I checked my checking account and saw a $16.99 debit that I did not authorized. When I called "great fun" they explained that I had signed up through an on-line purchase option in the past. LIES. I think these people need to be reported to Home Land Security as terrorist. We work hard for our money. Why should computer geeks have the right to ding people's checking account randomly. To top things off Bank of America, Specifically SHERRY in the claims department in California; well aware of this site, refuses to credit my account until Great Fun pays me back. I think BofA is upset over the inability to impose those debit card fees on their customers. Now they don't want to credit my account while this is resolved. I work hard, I pay my bills, I don't deceive creditors, I have had my account with BofA for 20 years now I am short money because of an on-line scam and Bank of America is okay with it. I am super pissed! Its hard out here for an honest hard working American and this has got to STOP>
